Pieces for Paws Charity Art Auction raises R100 000

On the 16th March Giving is Living, hosted their first Art Auction Fundraiser called Pieces for Paws, to raise funds for 3 animal organizations. (Mdzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha, Wolwerivier Outreach Work and SANCCOB) Over 60 local and internationally recognized artists and sculptors took part in this event by donating their work to this cause. Over 80 Items in total were up for auction. The event took place at Atlantic Beach Country Club in Melkbosstrand where drinks and canapes were served followed by entertainment by Russell Fox- Magician Insane, Music by Steven Winter and the main auction itself with Auctioneer Joey Burke. Over R200,000 was raised through the auction and will be distributed to the 3 organizations stated above. R100 000 will go to Mdzananda Animal Clinic.
