Incredible teamwork alert!
Yesterday, we faced a heart-wrenching situation: a lost and terrified dog stranded on the N2 highway. But thanks to the power of collaboration, we turned fear into triumph!
Mdzananda was alerted of the dog via our social media and we called for help from the Cape Animal Welfare Forum (CAWF). We all sprang into action. With quick thinking and coordination, we rallied support from the City of Cape Town Animal Control Unit, Paws-A-While, Cape of Good Hope SPCA and Law enforcement.
Despite the dog's initial escape, our dedicated team didn't give up.
This morning, a collective effort unfolded as the SPCA, Mdzananda Animal Clinic, City of Cape Town Animal Control Unit, and Traffic Department converged for a joint rescue operation. Together, we closed roads and pooled resources to ensure the safety of the trembling dog before inclement weather struck.
And guess what? We succeeded!
The dog is now safe and sound, receiving the care it deserves.
This heartwarming tale embodies the spirit of CAWF, united for the well-being of animals. Let it serve as a reminder of the importance of swift action and effective communication during emergencies.
Together, miracles happen!
